Paint, explore & relax in the mountains while staying in the authentic & tranquil white village of Villaluenga del Rosario, the smallest & highest village in the Cadiz province.
During Andrew’s second Art Retreat in this stunning area, he will expertly guide through a journey of creative growth. Using the inspiring surroundings as the foundation for sketches and colour studies, transform your ideas into stunning finished watercolours. Whether you favour realism or abstraction, your vision will come alive.
You may be an experienced artist seeking new creative paths, or a beginner looking for clear guidance. Either way, this retreat is designed to offer relaxation, inspiration, and the pure joy of painting in nature.
Let the mountains and the famous white villages renew your spirit and your art.
Places limited to 9 participants and 4 partners, so register now with Andrew andrew@andrewjenkin.co.uk or Dawn enquiries@casadeloscuadros.com

Tuition begins at 9:30am and continues until 4:30pm with breaks for coffee and lunch.
You are welcome to continue painting into the evening.
You will be collected by minibus from Malaga airport or Malaga historic town, then take a scenic 1 hour 45 min drive to the venue. If your flight arrives earlier than others, you may want to use the time to explore the historic city of Malaga. We can help organise luggage storage.
Arrive at the venue late afternoon, with a 3-course dinner and introduction by Andrew.
Morning to explore and sketch the village and surrounding landscapes, notes on composition, contrast and colour with Andrew’s guidance.
Afternoon watercolour demonstrations by Andrew in the guest house will explain how to bring these initial sketches to life, leaving time for you to paint or explore the village further (with help on hand for colour mixing and various watercolour techniques).
Visit Grazalema, the Jewel of the Sierra – sketching in the plaza followed by lunch.
Free Day. A chance to explore surrounding towns or villages, explore the mountains on foot, or simply relax in the guesthouse garden.
Work on the Grazelema painting with more art tuition in the guest house. A chance to push your paintings further, building layers and experimenting with new watercolour techniques & colour mixes.
Final art tuition day, with the option to continue sketching out in the village or focus on studio painting, finishing your artworks using the learnt techniques from the week.
A (gentle) review of everyone’s artwork ends the final afternoon session, rounded off with a last-night BBQ.
A minibus is provided for your return to Malaga airport after breakfast.
